OCZ Vertex 3 120GB Drive – Test Setup and Benchmarks

We decided to keep our test setup similar to the test system we used when we reviewed the Agility 3 120GB drive apart from increasing the memory from 4GB to 8GB. We keep our test bench as standard as possible without any changes so that test data does not vary on each iteration. No added software is installed apart from the benchmark tools.

We’ll be going through some synthetic benchmarks as well as some real life benchmarks so that you can get an overall feel as to how well this drive will perform in real life.
