Xtreme DDR 256MB PC 3200 SDRAM

Xtreme DDR memory was introduced to the market with just one thing in mind, and that is to provide overclockers with optimum performance and freedom to overclock. As you can see from the above benchmark scores, these modules does exactly that. Performance of these modules are simply incredible and if you’re lucky you might be able to even go beyond this mark. I have seen people reaching 220MHz without any problems, so some of you are bound to see similar results. Even though the system wasn’t totally stable at 210MHz we did manage to boot at this setting without a problem.

Up until 187MHz we were able to push these modules at the highest possible memory performance settings, which is something we haven’t seen in any of the memory modules we have tested so far. For most users reaching 187MHz alone would be a great feat of its own, since most PC2700 DDR modules out there hardly go beyond the 166MHz mark. Now you can see what a leap in performance Xtreme DDR offer.

If any of you do decide to get Xtreme DDR make note of the fact that not all motherboards support Xtreme DDR PC3200. So make sure you check this or it’ll be a worthless investment. At the moment Xtreme DDR is offered at $105 (approx AU$210) at Silverbullet PC. Of course the price is a tad higher than conventional memory; however the performance benefit simply out weighs this. If you’re currently looking new memory with excellent performance, look no further; Xtreme DDR will not fail you at any cost. If your mainboard supports these we’d certainly recommend them to anyone looking for some great overclocking action.
