Picture this; Imagine you have a power-point presentation to give to your board. Say it’s an 8MB file. Who do you want to be? Do you want to be the guy who comes into the board room with around 10 floppies and start downloading the files to the local machine, while everybody else is waiting in earnest for you to start, or, do you want to be the guy who comes into the room with your USB drive clipped to your shirt pocket, and be ready to give the presentation in a matter of seconds. I’ll leave that for you folks to decide.
I have used these drives for the past two weeks and what I use them mostly is to transfer mp3 files between friends and family. I find this the most hassle-free and fastest way to do it. The Flash Dio 32MB version retails at $79.98 at bestradeusa.com, while they also offer versions from 16MB to 1GB. It’ll cost you a fortune to get a 1GB version; yet, if you have true requirement, then cost cannot be considered a barrier. The 32MB Pen Drive retails at $79 and it too is offered in the same capacity range. However the 1GB pen drive is around $300 more than the Flash Dio.
Putting things in perspective however I believe these are really great deals. Personally I would go for a 64MB drive which retails for around $119. Considering the functionality and convenience you get by one of these drives, I know this is true value for money. Moving files is no longer a big issue to me anymore. All I need to do is simply upload the file on to the drive and take it where ever I’m going and work on it there. It’s as easy as that. We’re always on the lookout for products that make our lives easier, and these drives does just that.
Some of you may be confused as to which drive to go for. There’s hardly a great difference between the Pen Drive and the Flash Dio, except for that fact that the Pen drive has a few additional features. If there was a considerable price difference it would have been much easier to give out an opinion, however this is not to be. Therefore all I can say is go for one depending on your taste. If you like the transparent look of the Flash-Dio then go for it.
Overall I must say the Pen Drive and the Flash Dio are one of the best products I have ever come across so far. They offer the most convenient way to back up or move your data from place to place. To top it all up they have been priced just right. We totally recommend this product to anyone.
