LAMPTRON CT625 and CT630 Review
In the realm of advanced PC system management, LAMPTRON has developed a powerful duo that redefines how enthusiasts interact with their computer’s core systems. The CT625 display controller finds its perfect companion in the CT630 Auto-Controller, creating a comprehensive ecosystem of system monitoring and control.

A Close look at the LAMPTRON CT625
The Lamptron CT625 transforms how you interact with your computer’s fans and RGB lighting while adding functional display capabilities.
The CT625 features six 1.42-inch IPS displays that provide real-time monitoring of critical system data including fan speeds, temperatures, and power metrics. What sets this controller apart is its multifunctionality – it serves as a fan controller, RGB/ARGB controller, digital clock, calendar, and even a digital photo frame.

Installation is straightforward with separated controller and display screens, and you can connect via various power interfaces including D-type, SATA, and DC via a USB-C interface. The controller supports both PWM and standard fans, with impressive scalability – you can link up to five CT630 controllers for a maximum of 30 channels.

Control options are equally flexible on the Lamptron CT625, offering both button interfaces, plus remote operation when you can’t physically access the device.

The buttons feel cheap when you press them, and their pointy design actually hurts your fingers when adjusting settings manually. Hopefully Lamptron will improve this design flaw in their next version.
The customizable panel selection lets you display exactly what you need, whether that’s temperature readings, fan controls, or RGB settings.
- Six 1.42-inch IPS display screens
- Comprehensive system information visualization
- ARGB LED strip management
- Remote and manual control options
Controlling each option is straight forward. Using the multi directional buttons on the remote, you select the gauge you want to get further details. The image below shows voltage, temperature for each of the thermal probes installed along with fan RPM speed.

The Lamptron CT625 offers both ARGB and RGB controls allowing granular customization effects and provides some prebuilt options if you wanted to use them.

Here’s a quick video of the unit in operation and changing the various operation modes.
The CT625 also lets you display your own images using the included micro SD card. Just make sure your pictures follow the required file naming conventions and aspect ratios. Lamptron includes several sample images that showcase this distinctive feature nicely.

Integrated Functionality
The true power of this system lies in its seamless integration with the Lamptron CT630 controller which is capable of managing up to 30 channel outputs and provides robust power and control infrastructure. Professional system builders and advanced PC enthusiasts will love the ability to have precise thermal management, extensive fan and cooling control, customizable display interface along with RGB lighting controls when the Lamptron CT625 is coupled with the CT630.
Strengths
- Modular and expandable system
- Comprehensive control capabilities
- High-precision monitoring
- Robust build quality
Potential Considerations
- Requires technical expertise for full utilization
- May be over-specified for basic systems
Conclusion
The LAMPTRON CT625 and CT630 represent more than just hardware—they’re a complete system management solution. By combining the visual prowess of the CT625 with the powerful control mechanisms of the CT630, users gain unprecedented insight and control over their computing environment. It is however not for everyone as it does require a certain degree of technical knowledge to set things up as the most lacking part from Lamptron is detailed installation guides. Nevertheless it’s certainly a unique product and does deserve credit for that.
