With such a premium lineup it’s a pity Oclean doesn’t include a power adapter along with this package. You need to make sure you have a 5W 1A power adapter which the USB-C charging cable can connect to.

Sliding out the outer design cover, the premium onboxing experience continues. A quick start guide sits on top of the neatly packed Oclean X Ultra S toothbrush.

The travel case has a premium look and feel and is capable of charging the Oclean X Ultra S toothbrush while it’s inside the case.

The wireless charger illuminates when the brush is placed on the charger. Only improvement I’d like to see here is that the light being turned off once the toothbrush is fully charged. It’s not too bright to keep you awake at night, however seems like a waste of engery for no valid reason.

The magnetic wall mount is a thoughtful addition, allowing the toothbrush to be conveniently stored in an elevated position when not charging. Day to day, this feature also aids in keeping the handle dry and clean by allowing any remaining water to drain off after each use

The Oclean X Ultra S seamlessly integrated a LED touchscreen display is both functional and elegant, while the slim profile makes it comfortable to hold. The IPX7 waterproof rating ensures durability in the bathroom environment. This is the first time I have used a toothbrush with a LED touchscreen and I must admit while it seemed overkill at first it’s actually very useful.

While the mobile app gets updated with brushing data, reality is the novelty wears off pretty soon and after a few weeks you’d hardly open up the app. Thats why the LED display becomes very useful.

Performance

The Maglev 3.0 motor with TurboClean System delivers impressive results. Oclean says that the design allows for 70% more plaque removal compared to standard sonic toothbrushes. For the past 2 years I have been using a Oral-B’s Smart 5 5000 Electric osclilating Toothbrush. While there maybe certain advantages to using osclilating toothbrush, after using the Oclean X Ultra S I’d never go back.

The toothbrush is whisper quiet, you can hardly hear the unit running, while the Oral-B can litteraly be heard from the other end of the house. Furthermore the brushing feel is much smoother and gentle. You can hardly feel any vibrations which is a stark contrast to my Oral-B. These aspects aren’t things you’d question until you have used the Oclean X Ultra S toothbrush.

My personal favorite is the Unlimited cleaning mode, which provides a comprehensive clean with added flexibility.

In terms of battery life, the 40 day usage is based on brushing using the standard mode 2 minutes twice a day. We are yet to confirm this, however after using the Oclean X Ultra S for 7 days, the battery level remains at 77%, which is quite decent.
