Inspired by the honeycomb mirror design of NASA’s most powerful space telescope the “The James Webb Space Telescope” AQIRYS introduces the WEBB cloth mouse pad. The offering comes in 2 sizes, namely a medium and extra large which is what we’re reviewing today.

The cloth mouse pad comes rolled up inside its transport box, which features a cut out sample area so you can reach in, to feel the surface of the mouse pad without fully opening the box.

Performance and General use

The WEBB XL’s surface is optimized for speed and comfort. The surface has been specifically treated to resist water and liquid spillages and is protected against fraying or peeling by having closely stitched edges.

Depending on your gaming style Aqirys recommends one of the following; medium to low sensitivity, you’d do well with their medium sized pad while the extra large mouse pad would suite users who prefer low sensitivity settings.

The mousepad’s smooth microfiber woven cloth surface is so silky that your mouse feet will glide all over it with very little friction and maintains perfect accuracy. We were using a Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED wireless mouse and the experience on the Aqirys WEBB XL was flawless.

A high quality non-slip rubber base ensures the mouse pad is firmly secure on your desktop with zero movement. Furthermore given the size of the WEBB mouse pad, the surface area alone guarantees it remains firm in position.

The Honeycomb design and it’s shades of ash color scheme would blend easily with most user environments. My only gripe with the color scheme is how well it’ll stand against dust and debris in the long term.

The AQIRYS WEBB XL Gaming mouse pad is without doubt large. It’s clearly designed to not only provide a smooth effortless mousing surface, but also has plenty of room for your keyboard, mouse and anything else you might have to rest nicely on it as well. This can help give a more stable surface for your keyboard as well as protecting/insulating the desk, useful if you have a glass desk or just need to hide imperfections of an older desk.

It has no fancy features like wireless charging or RGB lighting like some other options out there, but does come at an extremely affordable price point of around $20 AUD (64.99 Romanian Leu)

If you are in the need of a mouse pad and prefer the feel of cloth (as opposed to a hard solid surface like an aluminium mouse pad) as well as wanting something to protect your desk and insulate your arms when touching your desk – then the AQIRYS WEBB XL will do you justice!
