Performance and Conclusion

Battery Life

One of the main concerns of any wireless accessory is its battery life. Too short and you might as well spend lesser to get a wired alternative. The Logitech G903 has a built in 720mAH LiPol rechargeable battery. Depending on your lighting setup the battery life will vary, however we were able to get around 20-22 hours of hard use with lighting enabled and around 10 hours more without any lighting activated. The activities performed mainly included FPS gaming and around 15% of typing. Going off Logitech’s specifications, the figures we have achieved seem on par and the results are absolutely impressive.

Recharging via the USB cable takes around 2 – 2.5 hours from a complete drain. You can continue to use the G903 as a wired mouse during this time while the battery continues to charge. If you value your wireless freedom throughout your gaming journey, then the Logitech Powerplay mouse pad is the route to take.

Wireless Connectivity and accuracy

Latency, responsiveness and stable connectivity are some of the common problems most wireless peripherals fail to deliver on. Thanks to some cutting edge technology improvements Logitech calls “LightSpeed” you actually do not experience any of these common drawbacks seen on wireless peripherals.

In fact the Logitech G903 was indistinguishable in responsiveness to a high end wired gaming mouse. The only time we ever experienced any lag of around a second was when turning on the PC for the first time or waking up your PC from sleep mode. Apart from that we experienced no interference from any other wireless devices nearby, no lags, no jitter/judder. Bottom line; the G903 performed flawlessly and kept true to its 1ms response time. What’s amusing is that the Logitech G903 wireless mouse works out to be faster than some of its wired competitors as well.

Conclusion

Thanks to the PWM3366 optical sensor and LightSpeed technology, Logitech have been able to provide a killer combination to provide one of the best wireless mice to enter the market. With a price tag ranging from AU$160 – $198 the Logitech G903 Wireless Gaming Mouse certainly comes at a premium price point. However if you are firm on your decision of going wireless, the G903 is definitely one of the best wireless mice you can currently get your hands on and Logitech have truly brought out a worthy successor to the previous G900.
