We will compare the P34A80’s performance against a Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 NVMe and run a combination of benchmark suites to better get an understanding of the drive’s performance.
ATTO Disk Benchmark
ATTO disk benchmark tool is a popular freeware tool that shows the drive’s performance based on different file sizes.
The P34A80 manages to reach its rated read speed without any issue while the write speeds are slightly lower than the 3000MB/s rating. In real life the performance gap between the Samsung 970 Evo Plus will be pretty negligible.
Crystal Diskmark
Even at lower queue depths the Silicon Power P34A80 performs on par or better than the Samsung Evo 970.
AS SSD Benchmark
Even on AS SSD benchmark tests we can see a similar pattern to our previous tests with the P34A80 performing exceptionally well.
PC Mark 8
PCMark 8 runs a series of traces recorded while using real world applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and a selection of popular games.
The P34A80 managed to achieve an average bandwidth of 663.05 MB/s in comparison to the Samsung 970 EVO Plus and edged out slightly with an overall score of 5098.

Hi there. I bought a SP PCIe Gen 3M.2 2280 Nvme a80 1tb SSD but it has a black PCB. Is this a fake? I have looked everywhere and no one has black PCB s . Thanks

Do you have a picture of the unit? It’s hard to say the SP probably may have changed designs since our review. I could find out for you if required, however how has the performance been and hope you bought it from a legit source.
