HyperX Alloy Core RGB Keyboard
Conclusion
One of the biggest questions most of you would be having is if the HyperX Alloy Core RGB can match the performance of a mechanical keyboard and the short answer is not quite. You simply won’t be able to match the responsiveness, customizability and longevity of a good mechanical keyboard against a membrane type keyboard.
Only drawback we found with this keyboard is that if you completely disabled the RGB lighting, it makes it very hard to recognize the keys.
However we truly love this keyboard for what it is and intended market segment. For a $99 price tag, the HyperX Alloy Core RGB is a good piece of hardware to upgrade from your standard keyboard setup. The zoned RGB lighting is very well done even though you don’t have the ability to customize them. There’s also the built-in multimedia keys that help improve the overall experience with this keyboard.
The keyboard itself is very well built and if your budget doesn’t stretch too far for a solid mechanical keyboard, the HyperX Alloy Core RGB is definitely a healthy alternative.
