HyperX Alloy Core RGB Keyboard

General Usage and Gaming Performance

As we mentioned before, the HyperX Alloy Core RGB certainly does feel like a mechanical keyboard through its looks, even though it really isn’t. Having said that however, the keyboard performs far better than any other membrane type keyboard we have used in the past.

The spill resistant and anti-ghosting features certainly are working towards this keyboard to make it a viable choice for those who want to upgrade from their standard keyboards but not yet there for the mechanical genre in terms of budget.

Unlike mechanical keyboards, you do not get any guarantee on the life of the key switches, however during our testing we found them to be very responsive and the keys were soft yet firm. Some users may actually not like the clunky noise you get from mechanical keyboards, and for them the Alloy Core RGB would be an ideal alternative.

The Anti Ghosting feature worked most of the time apart from a couple of instances where certain keystrokes were missed out. This is not a huge concern to be honest, given the price factor of the HyperX Alloy Core RGB we are very impressed with how it performed during our gameplay.
