Additionally you are offered a 1.5 meter 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack audio cable which can be used to connect the headset to the included 7.1 channel USB DAC or another 3.5mm audio input as well as a velvet travel pouch for easy transport.

We like the simple yet sleek design Cooler Master have adopted with the MH752 Gaming Headset. It’s sleek without the common bling that accompanies most gaming headsets today.

Build quality and design

Unlike headsets we have reviewed in the past, the Cooler Master MH752 gaming headset doesn’t have a permanent hardwire connection. It’s some what a modular setup where you need to connect the boom mic and audio connection separately to the slots provided.

USB 7.1 channel sound card

The Cooler Master MH752 comes with a 7.1 channel USB sound card that is capable of creating a virtual 7.1 surround sound experience.

The volume controls are within easy reach and you can easily toggle on/off between using the 7.1 surround sound feature. On the side you are offered microphone volume controls along with a mute button.

One end of the 3.5mm audio cable connects directly to the sound card while the other goes into the CM MH752 Gaming headset.

Headset design

The headband is made out of steel and plastic which is covered with PU leather and foam cushion. The length of the headband can be expanded by 4cms catering to give you a snug fit depending on your head size.

The ear cups are connected to the headband through joints which allow free movement of the ear cups. They turn 90 degrees inwards to allow for easy transportation using the velvet pouch provided.

The ear cups also swivel up and down through the joints it’s connected to the headband. This provides for maximum comfort for users as you’re not restricted purely by the dimensions of the headband.

To make the MH752 even more comfortable the ear cups are made of PU leather and extremely soft cushion that just rests on your ear rather than press hard against it. Combined with the non rigid frame we found that wearing the MH752 Gaming headset for extended periods of time was not at all an issue. In fact you hardly feel you’re wearing a headset; it’s that comfortable.

The boom microphone

The boom mic is detachable and connects directly onto the headset. It’s good to see Cooler Master offering a detachable mic giving you more versatility in its usage. You don’t want to look like an ape with full gaming gear on while travelling inside a train for example, but you still want to enjoy quality music. Being able to detach the microphone converts this headset into a stereo headphone without additional drama.

The hole is shaped specifically so that only the boom mic will fit into the slot and you won’t have trouble differentiating between the 3.5mm audio slot and microphone input.

The omni directional microphone once connected, sits firmly in place. The mic has a flexible cable so if you wanted to move the mic away from your mouth, simply bend it away.
