The Arctic P533 Racing in detail

The Arctic P533 Racing ships out in an elegantly designed box and provides most of the product highlights throughout its design.

Opening up the box, the Arctic P533 Racing is actually further enclosed in a hard plastic carry case which we thought was quite unique and very handy for easy transport without damaging the unit.

The full package includes among the headset, a user manual, 2m extension cord and a feedback form to give your opinion of the headset back to Arctic.

The Arctic P533 Racing as you can see is primarily black with orange highlighting the overall look. One aspect that stands out immediately is the orange wire that runs across the headset connecting the boom microphone. While this is certainly a design choice, I’m not so sure if it was the best decision. Nevertheless it gives the headset that retro look which some users still find appealing.

The Arctic P533 is offered in 3 variations, the P533 Penta, P533 Racing and P533 Military. Only differentiation between these models is its outer look and you can opt for either one of them depending on taste.

A Closer look

The color scheme chosen for the Arctic P533 Racing is quite impressive and eye candy along with the overall design of the headset. As you can see the headset is of a closed back design which is generally preferred for its intended market. The ear cups are made of memory foam for padding with a faux leather lining. The materials used should ideally make them comfortable to use and we shall look into this shortly.

The ear cups are labeled clearly as left and right, and the right ear cup has a volume control as well.

The head band is covered with foam and faux leather and feels comfortable to the touch. The top of the headband has “Arctic” written over it providing brand exposure as well as style.

The boom mic is connected through a metal wire frame, and as discussed before has an exposed wire that runs through the headset. The mic is rotatable so it can be adjusted to suite varying facial sizes.
