Raijintek PALLAS

Raijintek PALLAS Low Profile CPU Cooler

Conclusion

The Raijintek PALLAS retails at US$32.99 (Approx AU$75) making it an absolute budget friendly low profile cooler. Keeping up to their promotional statement the PALLAS offers excellent performance as well. The test results were very impressive, mainly considering the fact that these were scores from a HTPC case and not some high tower casing with unrestricted airflow.

Installation considerations

Most coolers this size will and do have issues during installation on certain motherboards. This is something you need to be aware of before purchase. Raijintek have taken measures to ensure maximum compatibility and our personal experience with the PALLAS was quite straight forward and the installation process went off smoothly.

Verdict

We considered the Noctua NH-L12 to be a very decent cooler and it still is. The PALLAS even though doesn’t show any significant gains over the Noctua NH-L12, from a price point it leads the race. This certainly isn’t a head to head comparison between the two coolers as they both carry their own merits. Yet the Raijintek PALLAS has shown great promise for its intended purpose with almost negligible noise levels.

If you’re presently on the look out for a low profile high efficient cooler for a HTPC project look no further than the Raijintek PALLAS. I seriously doubt you’d come across anything better from a performance and price perspective.
