Coolermaster Masterliquid 240 AIO Liquid Cooler Review
Conclusion
The MasterLiquid 240 has yet again proven why CoolerMaster is one of the more renowned cooler manufactures out there. While it doesn’t break any records in terms of performance, the overall value of the cooler is undeniable. What I like the most is the fact that it’s virtually silent even in overclocked conditions.
Many Choices
Since there is an abundant range of AIO liquid coolers in the market today it’s undoubtedly a challenge to choose the right cooler. So it’s like anything else in life, you go for brands with a solid reputation that guarantees the quality of their products. Keeping that in mind you can now honestly narrow down your choices to quite a few. CoolerMaster has been a global leader for over 25 years now and has achieved many accolades for their innovative solutions. The MasterLiquid 240 has shown very decent performance on both Intel and AMD platforms. The kit can stand up to a certain degree of overclocking, however you might benefit from better performance with a higher end kit for extreme overclocking.
The Pro version we tested had a blue LED light that glows during operation which didn’t bring much fan fare. Listening to customer feedback CoolerMaster has re-designed the MasterLiquid 240 by illuminating the Cooler Master logo in white omitting the blue LED which actually was a bit old school to be honest. The white logo illumination actually gives a much better professional look to the unit than before and certainly stands out more. At a price tag of US$89.99 I find the MasterLiquid 240 to be better value for your buck than its older sibling the MasterLiquid Pro 240. You can’t go wrong with either of the two models, however the MasterLiquid 240 supports AM4 CPUs off the shelf and costs less while the white illuminated logo makes your casing look nicer as well. Both these models come absolutely recommended by us and you certainly won’t be disappointed.
