VideoMate E750 PCIe Dual DVB-T TV Card Dual Tuner
Final Verdict:
When it comes to TV tuners one thing to keep in mind is never compromise on quality. Compro Technology have been producing digital media products for over two decades and have certainly created a great name for themselves in the market. Analogue TV is going be phased out here in Australia very soon and the future is Digital TV and what better way to upgrade your system with the VideoMate E750 considering the very nominal price tag of only AU$150. (You may find some better deals if you do a little research). For what’s on offer the VideoMate E750 is great value for money; the software provided with the unit is awesome and the actual hardware itself is second to none. Picture quality is far superior to anything we have seen from digital tuners and it also supports 1080i HDTV resolution where available. Ideally you would also need a decent TV or monitor supporting that resolution such as the Sony KDL- 52S5100 to enjoy the higher resolutions offered by the card.
The ability of the E750 to turn on and off a PC is truly a welcome feature that most of us will enjoy no doubt. The beauty is that the E750 can also power off the PC completely after the scheduled program ends. Furthermore turning on your PC from a remote is definitely going to be an enviable feature among your peers. Some other critical features such as Time Shifting are now provided standard which is a godsend when watching certain programs. It’s great to see Compro offering this card in a PCI-E format as this makes the unit future proof with no problems.
Overall the Compro VideoMate E750 is a well rounded product and users who buy this product are guaranteed not to regret their decision.
