It’s good to see that even though the Solid 2 Series is offered to the budget conscious market, OCZ have managed to incorporate 64MB of onboard CACHE on the drive as well as provide TRIM support. TRIM ensures the SSD drive does not degrade in performance after the drive has been used for a period of time as long as the OS supports it. Windows 7 supports TRIM so if you have already upgraded you’re good to go. If you by the end of the review do decide to get one of these drives or any other OCZ SSD drive make sure you have upgraded to the latest firmware as it’ll ensure your drive performs at its optimum.
