As the tests reveal the OCZ AMD Black Edition PC3-12800 Modules really do live upto OCZ’s status. Since the modules are offered 2GB per module, it allows users to expand their systems to 16GB in supported motherboards. (Make sure your OS can support large capacities of RAM as well) These modules have certainly been very interesting to test and looks wise it’s second to none and would certainly complement to the looks of your rig. Coupled with a AMD Black Edition processor and an AOD compatible motherboard these modules provides a lethal combination of performance. Since the AMD “OverDrive” software is very user friendly both novice and hardcore user alike can overclock their systems with ease. One aspect to keep in mind however when overclocking is that playing with the voltage settings on the modules beyond reasonable limits will render the lifetime warranty OCZ gives on these modules to be void; Not that this has ever stopped us from venturing into the darker side 🙂

All in all we truly recommend these modules for all AMD users with supporting hardware since they performed well above our expectations. At a retail price of US$122 the price is definitely a plus point and within reach for most users. If there was any negative comments to be made on these OCZ AMD Black Edition PC3-12800 Modules, it would be OCZ going with the default DDR3 voltage rating for these modules since I know they can function at a higher voltage by default. Nevertheless its all good and if the budget fits look no further as you wouldn’t regret the decision.
