Setting up and Sound quality

Just like any other Bluetooth device you need to pair the JB200-1 with your phone before you can use it. The pairing code is given in the specs as well as written down subtly on the inner side of one of the ear pieces so in case you forget this will come in handy.

If you’re pairing your iPOD with the JB200-1 then there’s virtually nothing you need to do as the pairing process is done automatically. All you have to do is connect the iPOD connector and start playing music and it’ll automatically start playing through the headset.

As for the sound quality it’s a mixed set of feelings. Mid ranges and highs were quite decent for a wireless device however bass response is very poor. I guess this is an inherent problem with all Bluetooth headphones as none of the devices I have ever tested or tried out could provide the full circle. Nevertheless if you aren’t a hyped up audio buff and just enjoy listening to some music while working out or on the move, the JB200-1’s will fit the bill just fine.

Pairing the JB200-1 with your phone is also very easy; hold down on the power button until you hear it beep and go through the pairing process. The MIC is very discreetly located and no protruding pieces are seen here like a conventional mobile phone headset. Audio quality was loud and crisp for both ends so we have no quibbles here, however it would have been nice if audio was transmitted to both ear pieces rather than just one when on a call.

Conclusion

The JB200-1s unique styling and design becomes a question when customers are faced with its hefty price tag of US$129.99. Nevertheless they are light weight, sweat and water proof and its performance isn’t disappointing. Due to its high price tag we won’t give the JB200-1 a whole hearted recommendation, however if you want to stand out of the crowd and look trendy while at the same time enjoying the convenience of listening to music and making calls from one single device, give the JB200-1’s a try.
