Albatron KX18DS Pro II – nForce2 Ultra 400

The tests the KX18DS Pro II is definitely a very good performer, and the above tests done certainly proves this point. As mentioned before we didn’t expect to see significant improvements in performance between the KX18D Pro II and the KX18DS Pro II, however where the KX 18DS Pro II excels is in terms of features and native support for additional features mentioned.

In terms of overclocking, as with all Albatron products, the KX18DS Pro II overclocks extremely well. With basic cooling provided we were able to get our 3200+ Athlon running at 2530Mhz. (11 x 230). Of course I’m sure we could do better from this board, such as by changing the multiplier and testing out various combinations. Nevertheless the fact above shows that this board can handle stress well and is quite stable under these conditions.

Yet again Albatron has come out with a great performer. The KX18DS Pro II offers come of the best features currently offered in the market, such as Gigabit Ethernet support, native RAID support etc all coupled with a very competitive price. Performance and feature wise, Albatron is second to none of its competitors currently on the market and I hope they continue this winning combination they have going for them.
