Aqualia Water cooling kit
We attached the Aqualia kit to a Lian Li 6099B case. On the front of the reservoir is an indicator with high and low gages to visually indicate the water level. On the right of the reservoir is the vents for the air coming from the radiator. I wasn’t too impressed with that design since it prohibits good air flow.
One of the most important components of a water cooling system is its water block. This device alone can make the difference between a good/bad water cooling unit. From the initial outlook of the water block in this unit, I must admit it really does seem to have some potential.
The block consists of a large copper base and a circular aluminum base on top of it. The mixture of the material is certainly a good combination for good heat dissipation. The base also looks very smooth and leveled. A good base is important to ensure good contact with the CPU core.
All the devices needing power are connected through a “Y” adapter which is directly connected to a PSU molex connector.
Another thing to mention is the tubes of the system. They’re based out of some kind of silicone material and are 5mm in diameter. From this you should realize that this unit is not for high-end cooling. It’s merely introduced as a decent entry level water cooling system that should be used to replace you existing air cooled heatsinks. I wasn’t too impressed with the quality of the tubing however. They bend quite easily and this could result in a tube completely bending out blocking the flow of water.
Installation of the unit is very straight forward. If you need any kind of additional help, there’s a detailed installation manual that comes with the kit. It took us no more than 15minutes to get the whole system up and running. It’s undoubtedly one of the fastest and trouble free water cooling installations we have done. Before you turn on your PC however make sure there are no leaks in the water cooler, just to be 100% positive. Double check all the joints for any leaks. One’s all that’s done, turn on the system. Ours worked flawlessly and we had absolutely no trouble during the installation process. Below is a picture of the CPU block attached to the CPU.
