Hercules All In Wonder Radeon 8500DV

At the moment the AIW Radeon 8500DV seems to be the only graphics card which provides a total solution as this for users. The price tag of the card is in the range of a modest pinnacle capture card, however what we must understand is that this isn’t only a capture card. In addition to the impressive multimedia capabilities, the card also offers very decent gaming performance as well. In contrast to its direct competition I would say the Hercules Radeon 8500DV is very much ahead considering that it integrates a whole range of multimedia features in one card. However the price of this card is still considerably high and this will most certainly dither away potential buyers. However we must understand that, the functionality of this card has grown considerably since ATI’s first launch of the All In Wonder series, and therefore the price most certainly is justifiable.

Think about it, the AIW 8500DV offers a TV-Tuner, a DVD Player, a VCD Player, MPEG 2 capturing, FireWire connectivity and many more. Above all this it also offers decent 3D performer as well. If not for a few minor faults, I haven’t found any major flaw in the card that needs urgent attention. It sure is nice to see all the effort ATI has put into this card finally paying off and Hercules is doing a great job as well in maintaining the standards as expected. As such there’s no doubt in my mind that the Hercules Radeon AIW 8500DV is a total All In One Solution to most PC users.
