SOYO Dragon Plus KT 266A Mainboard

As the results show, the Dragon plus hasn’t won all the benchmarks in our tests, and the K7T266 may have a marginal edge over the Dragon plus. However we do not consider a winner simply by its raw performance; we need to look into the overall package you receive, and I must say the Dragon plus is the uncontested winner. After my almost 2 weeks of experience with this board , I must agree the Dragon plus is a very solid and reliable board. It provides very useful features for a wide variety of users. Sure enough this isn’t the fastest board you’ll find out there, however this is the only board you’ll find with this package combined.

The last I checked the cheapest price for the board was around $139, which is fantastic considering what you get. I’m hoping to mod my casing in the near future to show off the lovely black PCB and purple PCI slots to my friends and foes 🙂 Overall I had a lovely time reviewing this board. It hardly gave me any problems during the installation period, and it’s a very reliable overclocker’s board. My next goal is to reach 180MHz, and I’m sure this board can handle it if the proper cooling is given to the CPU. I’ll update the Benchmark page when I do so. Before I end the review, I would like to congratulate SOYO for producing such an exceptional board.
