At 32-bit color the cards are put to harder work. Though both cards still reach above 50fps even at 1600×1200, in all systems.

We used 3D Winbench 2000 to test DirectX 7 performance. It’s quite evident that the Intel processor makes a big difference on the final score.

Overclocking:

Oh yeah! The section most of you chaps have been waiting for no doubt. We managed to get the core up to 228MHz, that’s an extra 28MHz from default and the memory clocked up to 375MHz. And mind you this is without any fancy cooling solutions. As always I have to say that not all cards overclock well, and it’s a chance you take. Some may overclock better and some might simply not overclock. Still you should always remember that overclocking does carry a risk factor and has to be done with much caution. Overall ,considerable performance gains were at the higher resolutions.
