Introduction
The VUP 7240 phone comes in a fairly attractive box with all the required information on the outside. Opening up the package you’re offered with the VUP 7240 phone, USB transceiver, USB cable, Installation CD, User manual and rechargeable batteries. (Batteries are not shown as they were installed onto the phone) Taking a closer look at the phone, it’s no bigger than standard cordless phones that come out today. The material used is some kind of soft velvety material giving the user a good grip when holding the phone and at the same time good to the touch. The numeric keypad is pretty standard and only the most essential keys are provided. There’s a volume control button on the top left so you don’t need to be on your PC to adjust the volume if required. I will go onto more details of the other buttons soon. The rear of the phone contains the speaker and the battery hold compartment. The transceiver provided is quite ordinary and I wish it was slightly smaller and had a more rectangular shape since it can obstruct other USB ports. The button on the transceiver is to link the USB phone with the PC for the first time.
